PGA TOUR Superstore is the nation’s leading retailer for golf enthusiasts. Known for their immersive model, their stores offer everything from high-tech hitting bays and putting greens to professional fitting services and a massive selection of gear.
When PGA TOUR Superstore decided to expand into Louisville, they needed more than just a ribbon-cutting; they needed a media event.
The challenge
Building excitement for the new location
Grand openings are chaotic, fast-paced and filled with blink-and-you-miss-it moments. The challenge was to document the sheer scale of the new facility while also capturing the personal excitement of the first customers through the doors.
Because the brand was new to the area, the primary goal was awareness. We needed to create content that didn’t just say “we are open,” but showed why this store is a game-changer for local golfers.
Furthermore, we had to provide high-quality assets to local news and media partners who couldn’t be on-site for the event but needed professional video assets to share the story.
The solution
Rapid-response content creation
Mammoth Creative Group used a team approach to help the PGA TOUR Superstore cover the grand opening. A photographer captured the ribbon cutting, the first fans walking through the door, and other events throughout the morning.
We also captured video of the event before editing it into short-form content for organic social media marketing, a longer recap video for internal communications, and B-roll clips for media partners who couldn’t attend.
