About Imagination Library of Louisville
Inspiring a love of reading in every child
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Louisville was founded in 2016 through a partnership between the Junior League of Louisville, WAVE 3 News and the Jefferson County Public Education Foundation.
The mission of Imagination Library of Louisville is to provide a free book each month to Louisville children from birth to age five to foster a love of reading and prepare children for kindergarten.
The challenge
An unintuitive user experience
When Imagination Library of Louisville first launched, its website was built by a PR firm without deep experience in website design, accessibility and how users navigate websites.
This resulted in a site with unintuitive navigation, overwhelming walls of text and a lack of responsiveness for varying device types.
The solution
Building a foundation for literacy
Mammoth Creative Group addressed all the issues with the Imagination Library of Louisville’s website through a complete rebuild.
We thoughtfully balanced text with imagery to keep people engaged while reading informative copy. This resulted in higher engagement rates for each page.
We also aligned their new website’s color palette and typography with the national organization, helping share the national organization’s story with the local organization’s impact.
